Current Activation(s): Adult Emergency Shelter ExpansionFriday, January 20, 2017 – Monday, January 23, 2017.

  • The Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH), with its nonprofit partners Episcopal Community Services and St. Vincent De Paul Society, is expanding the adult emergency shelter system starting Friday, January 20th, in response to the forecast of low temperatures and significant rain.
  • To access these and other available adult shelter spaces, individuals should go to the 24-hour MSC-South Drop-In Center at 525 Fifth Street, San Francisco (at Bryant Street). The Drop-In staff can identify where shelter space is available. The San Francisco Homeless Outreach Team will also be contacting these sites when they encounter someone on the streets who is interested in a shelter.
